Your instructors
The school was set up in 1996 by Alwyn and Soo Dixon - both accredited instructors with the IKMF (International Krav Maga Federation). Alwyn was trained by Eyal Yanilov whilst in Israel in the early 90's and was responsible for bringing Krav Maga to the UK in 1996 when Alwyn and Eyal founded the UK branch of the IKMF. Soo qualified as an IKMF instructor in 1997 and is one of the highest graded female Krav Maga instructors in Europe. Amongst this first generation of UK instructors was Marcos Lall, who was the first to attain Expert level status, and now teaches at London Krav Maga.
Early students of the school included Mike, Marc and Mikey, pictured with Marcos below (left to right) along with Stel, all of whom went on to train and qualify as IKMF instructors under the guidance of Eyal Yanilov and the Global Instructor team of Amnon Darsa, Tommy Blom, Tamir Gilad and Ze'ev Cohen. In 2011 the London Krav Maga instructors were invited to join Eyal in his new organisation Krav Maga Global. They now train regularly with Eyal and the KMG team in Israel, as well as in various other martial arts, to maintain and update their techniques.
